PALACE Acquire (PAQ) The PALACE Acquire (PAQ) program is administered by the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC). Applications are accepted only at specified on-campus career fair events. SMART SMART is a scholarship program administered by the Dept of Defense for current students in science, mathematics, and engineering. You must apply online. For more information go to https://www.asee.org/smart/. Science and Engineering Summer Intern Students must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering (not technology) degree program. Those selected will work full-time during the summer only. We have established a Co-Op agreement with the following engineering schools:
Opportunities may be for students in electrical, computer, mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering (not technology) programs. Positions may be available in avionics, electronic warfare, combat support systems, and other aircraft and weapon systems in support of the United States Air Force. Students will work 40 hour weeks, nominally business hours Monday to Friday with paid federal holidays. Students will leave federal service at the end of the summer term. Pay is approximately $14 per hour. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world engineering experience, learn about civilian career opportunities in federal service, and earn a competitive salary.
